Default Poor running for TDI / ESP light on

Hi

Just thought I would share this with the TDI owners.
2003 TDI 130 BHP was running poorly. It appeared that it was only running on 3 cylinders and the ESP light was showing on the dash.

It was taken to a diesel injection specialist who determined that the problem was actually being cause by the break up of the wiring leading to the injectors. The "shorting" was causing both the poor running and the random dash warning light (it can affect other warning lamps as well....).

The total cost of fixing was £177. £35 for parts - the rest for labour and of course VAT.

Just thought I would share.
