Hi I have just brought an audi a3 1.9 tdi 110 sport 2001 and the rear speakers dont work or the sub woofer either. The lad that I brough it off fitted a Pioneer aftermarket sterio in the car. does anyone know were I should start from Please? Do i need the adaptor or the aerial booster? does the sub and rear speakers work off one connection? What does the adaptor do?

It's a dusty memory now but I seem to remember having to tweak the wiring when I replaced my Concert with a Sony. I remember it was for power to something but I can't remember if it was the rear amp/sub or the antenna amp.

Sorry I can't be of more help!

Hi,
I have had similar problems but was able to get it sorted with my Kenwood stereo, I have the same set-up as you with the Audi Concert stereo and the mini sub in the rear. In theory with an aftermarket headunit you should get better sound output from your speakers as the standard headunit only has 20W per channel but most aftermarket units give out 50W however you dont always get the better sound. The lead you need is an Autoleads Smart lead PC9-401. You should not have to modify the adapter but in some cases you will have to connect the remote lead for the amp. Let me know how you get on.
