Hi everyone!
I recently bought an Audi S3 (8L), on a 2000 W reg and found that the ABS and Traction Control lights remain on permanently. Occasionally they go off when the car is stationary but come back on when driving. I have Vag-Com'ed the car and I get the error code: 01279 - Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor (G251) 57-00 - Electric Circuit Failure Should replacing the sensor resolve the problem? The sensor was replaced around a year ago along with the air mass sensor and air filter, any suggestions on fixes or experience in this matter would be gratefully received! ![]() |

On the A4 B6 this is an error code for the below... maybe same on the A3 -
if both of your rear brake lights are out.. ie bulb gone the traction control light and esp light will stay on... Check your brake lights to make sure there working.. (the LED will still be working but the other wont) Let us know how you get on.. Cheers

Do n't know if it is the same problem, but I have an A3 and my traction control light kept coming on and staying on. After some investigation, I found that I had a fault on my brake light switch, mine was replaced under warranty, but I am sure they are only about a fiver anyway!
