I know the recirculate one does, not sure about the heated screen, will need to check. The other heater controls definately don't though.

On mine the heater controls on the centre consol light up, but those at the ends of the dashboard, by the windows, do not (and do not look as if they should)!

I think it depends on what model year A3 you have.

Not a direct comparison, but they are illuminated on my 2003 A3 and 2003 A4, but not on my friend's 2001 A4.

I have the same issue, my dials did light up until yesterday! The bulb has blown, I am a real fussy person when it comes to that stuff, if you pull on the fan power dial (the one which points at numbers) it will pop off and you will find a bulb to replace, how you do that is another question, check back soon when I have sorted it out for a further post!!
