Hello,

I have a worry with my 2000 S3. I have just had it serviced and have had to replace the coil packs due to an engine missfire. Since then the engine sometimes sounds noisier / rougher, particuarly when slowing down. I seem to feel more vibration too.

My first thoughts were the exhaust was blowing, but when you rev the engine at a standstill it sounds fine and sweet.

Any ideas please?.

My 2001 S3 seems to make the same noise. I had it looked at and was told that it was just the backbox to the exhaust making the noise. It is a bit odd that it is louder when moving/slowing down, but not at standstill.
