i have an s3 2001 and the cambelt has split before the 80,000 recomended miles,has anybody any advice on this matter becouse i dont think i should foot the bill.

audi have told me that on my year 2001 that it should be changed at 80,000, my car is on 73,000 , do u think i have an arguement over the life of my cambelt ?

Hi,

I've got the same car and Audi told me that the cambelt change is every 80k although I've heard of belts snapping before this.

Worth a try to see if they'll pay anything towards it but they'll probably ignore it as you're more than likely out of warranty.
