I have a 1.6 2000 A3 and was looking to fit 18" RS4's. These rims would look so good on my ride and would definitely enhance the look.

The thing is, I'm worried about the ride quality if I fit 18" as the car already has 16" rims fitted, and the ride quality isnt exactly great.

I was wondering if any1 has already done this and how is the ride quality? I'm also thinking to fit lowering springs to enhance the look, but again am worried about the ride quality.

I must stress that I really want the look but I want to maintain a level of comfort. Any help would be much apreciated.

i went from 16s to 18s an used lowering springs, didnt find a difference in comfort just found it tramlined a bit. well worth it for the look, go for it. Just make sure the wheels are 5x100 pcd

Hi,

I'm new here.

In november 2005 I bought myself a brand new Audi A3 2.0 TDi s-line.

I upgraded the 17" s-line rims to 18" s-line rims.

My previous car was a VW Golf IV with 16" rims.

The Audi has the quattro suspension which is lowered by 25 mm in comparison to a normal A3 (not the ambition).

I find that my car drives great, off course it's a little stiffer but I like it a lot.

I would definately go for the 18" rims!

I took a picture of my rear left rim. (don't look at the quality, it was getting dark outsight when I took the picture)

Do you not prefer NEW RS4 ???
I took some pictures from a french forumist (Benjamin)

S-line -25mm

The same with lower springs -40mm

Ambition -15mm

I must decide me to choose this replica or RS6 replica...
It's for the end of this week. I make photos when I have it.
But I'm in -15mm, not enough money to lower springs this month
