Hi
Just new to this forum, I drive a Lotus Seven and an Elan but a bit like buying a pipe ,cardigan and slippers I now lust after a TDi A3. I am sort of wanting a 1.8 sport but know that I should have something more economical. what sort of MPG could I expect from a diesel??? Cheers Rae |

It all depends on what sort of purpose you plan to use the car for.
Do you plan to drive a lot of miles a year? If so go for the tdi If not go for the 1.8 t if you only plan on using for travelling to work or weekend driving. Both can be re-mapped giving you more power and acceleration if you wish. You should get about 30-35 mpg out of the 1.8 if not driven hard.
