tt start probs

Own a 01 tt roadster, tried to start it today but would not turn over. The computer and odo screens were dark as well as gas gauge showing empty when I just filled it.. It starts for 2=3 secs and then cuts out, as if there were a kill switch. Dealer thought it might be key issue, but I tried all keys and still same prob. Any thoughts?

I had the same problem yesterday with my TT, First the battery was flat, then once it was jump started the engine started and cut out as though it was being stolen-however after playing with the interior alarm the car wouldnt start at all, even with the leads. When the leads were connected to the battery and i tried to start the engine, there were sparks and what seemed to be a short circuit in the system. Other than that i also have a CONSTANT oil warning light on, and a turbo that cuts in and out as it pleases! Anyone want a new car?
