Having had a new engine fitted to my Audi TT mk1, I am having problems with alarm. I'm guessing this is because it has been disconnected from the battery in the process.
The in car button which turns off the interior sensors hasn't resolved the problem, there is no Alarm fuse which I am aware of and I have some very irate neighbours. Any advise on what I can do to resolve this would be very much appreciated. Thanks BurnhamHurst |

This kept happening last night after I cleaned my engine with water, etc. Alarm kept sounding every 3-5 min. After scouring the web, and seeing suggestions NOT to disconnect battery, I pulled three fuses- those associated with the central locking system. This silenced the alarm. The next day I pluged back in the fuses, and it seems to be working fine (Knock on wood!).
