Default Tracking/Steering

Hi guys

Just wondered if anyone had any ideas on this one....

I hit a massive pothole in the road which blew my tyre immediately, after replacing it the car now automatically goes to the left and I have to drive holding the steering wheel to the right very slightly. Have had the tracking checked out and have been told this is spot on - no problems. What else could it be, any ideas?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I am rubbish with the technical side of things...I just drive the thing!

Thanks

Sue

raylward102 if your alignment is fine try swapping the front tyres left to right as the left tyre wears to the angle of the camber of the road over time. Also be aware, particualy for speedster01, that if your car is Quattrro the maximum difference of tread depth on one axle should not be more than 2mm,idealy the same tread depth and pattern all round. Also remember that the rear steers the front so it may be appropriate to swap the rears side to side also. If the tyres are the directional type then the tyres can only be taken off the wheel rims to do this.

I had the same problem. I was told that the alignment was fine but took the car to the Audi dealership where they confirmed that it required a re-alignment. Got the car back and it's perfect.
