Hi there, I'm having a problem with my 225 TT. Its 2001 with 70K miles and idle is good warm or cold. Normal operation is good too if I accelerate but when I put my foot down and need a bit more acceleration it appears like I loose a few plugs. I experience a slight juddering but as soon as I get up to speed things are normal.
To me it appears like a plug is breaking down under load but reading some of these entries this may be incorrect. Can anyone tell me if this is the start of a bigger problem or is this a simpl'ish fix? Cheers in advance. Colin |

Three days after purchasing my 2001 TT, I had acceleration problems too. Felt like the car had lost 25-40% of its power. Turns out the airflow mass meter had failed. A mate's TT, same age, also had the same prob. Spoke to a dealer and it is something that tends to go.
Also check your lamba probes, ( to do with the cataylatic converter), they can also be prime suspects as if they are giving problems they lag behind during exhaust and starve the engine. |
