Default Turbo cooling pump stay running

Hello Audi Drivers, There a pump on the pass side right behind the radiator cooling fan that stays running after I turn off the engine. I think it has anti freeze pumping to cool the turbo?? It runs the battery down over night. What controls the on and off of the pump.. Thanks
