Since fixing a few of the more distressing problem with my car (thanks to the help of this forum), I've enjoyed driving it lately, virtually problem free...that is until I used the turned signal to signal a lane change, and after letting go of the switch, heard the "clicking" noise of the signal continue at various speeds even after the switch was off.
I drove for a solid five minutes and the signal noise was still ticking off to its own drum. I turned the car on and off and it didn't do any good. After five minutes, it starts to settle down, but any time I use my turn signal the problem starts up again. It's crazy. Does this sound like a short somewhere in my electrical system, or could it be something as simple as a fuse. I love this car, but damn these are some weird problems. |

Thanks so much. Sounds like an easy fix. Unfortunately, an even more baffling and possibly hazardous problem arose last night. See new entry on EPC light if interested.
The clicking sound suddenly has stopped, but if it does start again I will be replacing the hazard button, as suggested. Very best! |

I'm very sorry to hear the Hazard button replacement did not work. I haven't ventured any attempts at fixing mine yet. I noticed that the clicking slows down and eventually stops after a few miles of driving without using it.
Then, one day, it completely subsides, only to return briefly a week or two later. It's a very strange problem. |

I have the same exact problem.......I find that it comes when I dont fully push down the turn signal. You know when you quickly tap it down partially to flash your turn signal once. I have asked the audi dealer to fix it (mine is under warranty) but they say that they cant fix it unless it's acting up right at that moment...ie they need to see it for them selves. Retarded!! Anyone found a fix for this yet?
