Adding generic parking sensors?

I am looking for explicit tips and hints on how to add a generic parking sensor to an Audi TT.

Anybody who has added these and have hints on the exact placement of the sensors? Looking at other cars, I can see these are widely spaced apart.

How about the height over ground? There is a recommendation to not put these too low, in order to avoid background clutter (interference).

Any hints on the placement of the wirings from the central unit placed in the boot (trunk), and the wiring location for the display unit?
