Default engine oil inside the intercoolers

hi friends i am new here i just discovered your forum i am an audi tt quattro owner and have had many troubles with my car lately but the new hit now is due to a little accident my leftside intercooler was smashed lil bit so i had to change it and when we did that we found that there is engine oil on the internal intercooler walls and also on the internal walls of those big hoses of the intercooling system. At the same time my car is having no power and no torque when you push on the gas pedal and i thought it was due to the oxygen sensor which is already bad and i am going to change but still dont do that since we found the oil in the air intake system thinking that the oil could damage the new sensor too.
I will appreciate very much any help.

Oil in the system is not uncommon your problem may be due to a vacume leak in the system which would effect boost.

The only way to help prevent oil build up is by fitting a catch can in to the system.
