Audi TT '02 .. exhaust?? engine? catalyst?

i really dont know what the problem is..when i start the engine the rpm goes from about 600rpm to 1200rpm without me pressing the gas or not..further more it makes a noise when engine is a bit cool like "paff" "paff" "paff" very constantly seeming to come out of the front and from the back as well...also while driving there is a "puff" coming out of the exhaust when i have the 2nd gear at low rpm when turning

any ideas?

Sounds like a vacuum leak or air leak somewhere...
