Tappets/tapping

Hey all.

My car sounds ill

, i think the tappets might be worn...

Whats the best solution to this, is it a difficult job and has anyone experienced this problem before???

I cant say ive heard it common for the tappets to wear on an Audi..

What mileage has your engine done ??

Are you sure you havent got a oil pressure problem which would cause a tappety sound if the pressures low ??

This happened to me on my A4 due to oil sludge !!

It's done 58k.

how do i check for oil pressure, do i just put my hand over the filler and check for vacuum??
