Default Suspension Bushes?

Hi All.

Can anyone tell me on the attached picture what #2 bushes are called, i think these are the problem with my 2002 225Q, knocking from the front suspension and it happened very recently with my 1999 A3 and had to be replaced. i also hear it's common troughout the Audi range, has anyone else exoperienced knocking problems with the suspension and how did you remidy it???

Thanks.

Hey,
Fellow AbzTT owner
I have a creaking noise when going over speed bumps or sudden dips which i believe may be a similar problem - I'll be getting mine looked at just shortly but was advised it was the front bushes

Default Found some!!!

Hi all.

Thanks for your reply, i have since bought the below for my TT, should arrive by Friday and be fitted by the weekend (weather permitting!!) and you know what thats like in Aberdeen, pissing at the moment!

Kev, these are only the wishbone bushes and not the whole bush kit, this went in my A3 so im guessing the similar noise im hearing in the TT is the same bushes, well fingers crossed anyway!

ABZTT, do you find the aberdeen roads a bit too rough on your TT?

Hey,

Yeh, every time I'm out in it i find myself deliberately swerving round pot holes and climbing over the speed bumps! Worst ones are in the Cineworld carpark!

Also, have you had a blast out the South Dee-Side road yet

Once your past the pot holes its quite good to see if your car will handle well

Hi.

Not been down to Cineworld yet but fid every speed bump a real *******, your right it is a crawl, although some in Kincorth you can speed right over cause the TT is wider !
Not tried the SDR yet, is that all the way to Banchory?

A 325i touring had a good go at keeping me up last nighht though, from Shell on Wellington Road to Port;ethen fly over, 125mpr past loirston loch was good!

hopefully fitting the new bushes this weekend if the weather is ok!!

i have a 2002 225Q dark blue, whats you stats?

i have beaten
Honda Civic type R
BMW 325I (last night)
2 neds in Mummy's Mazda MX5
A3 S3
Some mad old guy in a sporty Lexus
numerios bully assholes in silly painted cars with ridiculour exhausts!!!

You??

Hiya,

No it doesn't go all the way, but most of it. I usually just drive along the SDR to the bridge on the right that leads up to Perterculter, its a really good road for testing handling ability

Mines a Raven Black (shock that!) 225 coupe - Chip & tinkered to 265

Don't really race that much as no one seems to want to play... but did have a runin with a black porsche cayenne (is that how you spell it?) with bright red calipers and blacked out windows, basically left him sitting

Oh, and a yellow Jordan Civic on the way out to Balmedie one sunny afternoon

Ah i know what stretch you are on about, unfortunately i dont test my car on that road as i ahd a friend die on the corner next to the post hotel, Ardoe house i think!
But i know what you mean, just watch out for the falling leaves towards the end of summer, jeezo they are slippy!!
My recommendation is the Stonehaven to Banchory road, it's enjoyable, you been on it? It has all sorts, 90 degree hairpins, long flat twisting bends, crests, tricky downhill bends, and best of all there is a bar at the end where you can quench your thirst!!!!
Best race i have had is the BMW 325I, he was trying everything to keep up, he was banging on the steering wheel and everything, ha ha! that was from specialist cars right to portlethen past Loirston Loch, the amount of people flashing and beeping was hilarious! anyway enough childs play! what mod's do you have and recommend?

I'd beaten a Mazda Miata just last week with my TT. It was a friend's car and we just want some fun and raced somewhere in their place. Some of his Mazda accessories can fit into mine so I can save some for it.
