radio code

I bought my audi tt used and it didnt come with the code but i know in my acura cl they put the code in a special place in the car so if you do lose it the number is still in the car. i found a number under the cover for the radio and was wondering if that was the code?

can someone check for me and if its not does anyone know if and where they put the back up code in the car?

Inside your owners radio handbook on the first page at the bottom there should be a 14digit number and underneath there should be a 4 digit radio code.If not you need the full vin number TRUZZZ and the 14 digit radio serial number AUZ2Z.Then the code can be generated by AUDI or independant.You will need proof of ownership and identity.You say you have a code under the radio,try it if it doesnt work dont re attempt until you have the correct code,or you will block it and you will have to leave the ignition on and the radio on for 1 hour to unlock safe mode.Regards Jon

Every radio has it's own personnal security code ( Every one in 10.000 units as it's a 4 digit code)
Your code should be on the back of the front page of your radio instruction manual.
It is written on a business card size perforated card on the corner of that page.

og owner rip it out and i never got it so i was just wondering if the number under the cover was the radio code because in my acura cl they put the number in the manual and in a secrete place in the car
