Hi guys, I looked at a 2002 TT 225 Quattro Coupe yesterday with 28k miles, the dealer is firm at 19,999. The price seems fair from what i've seen online. I also see a 2001 roadster for 19,500 with 45k miles that I might check out.
Anyway, I'm trying to get an idea of how fast I can make this car without major modifications. What mods get the most bang for the buck, and how much should i plan to shell out? What kind of HP #'s and 1/4 mile times could i see from say.... $1500? Also, what are some popular sites that I can check out to see some aftermarket parts for these cars? Thanks! Dan |

Try these websites J3 Motorsport and millteksports.com
I have a 2001 TT 225. Purchased it for about 23k...fully loaded 6speed manualy trans etc.. It only had 30k miles on it. I'm having J3racing do an ECM flash, exhaust, and intake mods performed in about 3 weeks. Approx cost around 3k ish. I may get a good torq and Hp bump of 35. Not too bad.

According to what one of the tech guys stated...35 hp/tq would be the "approx." minimum numbers I could expect. Did not asked him the maximum per the mods. The J3 guys are very professional and customer focused. Strongly advise you to contact them for further info. A 10min conversation with those guys will be well worth it. I do plan on having other mods performed. Just getting the 3 initial mods (ecu, exhaust, intake) done at one time first. More to follow......
