I just bought an 01 225 TT and whenever i'm in 2nd-5th between 3000-4500 rpm it makes this really loud noise, and the car seems to be driving a little sluggish. I replaced afew hoses and it still makes the noise. I also had a smoke test done to it to find some leaks and none were found. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong?

It sounds like the noise is occurring when the turbo is producing the most boost and you may have a pressure leak. The hoses you replaced...were they the after the turbo? Also, you might want to look at the intake manifold gasket, as this is a high pressure point during turbo boost. I am assuming the noise is a shooshing, whistling and annoying sound??
Good luck. |

Hi All.
I seem to have the same problem, it's like a loud sucking/blowing noise inbetween 3000 - 4500 rpm's. i have had a look and feel under the bonnet but cant find any split hoses etc. i see on Forge (below) there are lot's of different hose alternatives to buy from before the turbo and after the turbo but i do not know which one to buy to solve the problem, can someone please help????
