Cool 2001 TT, 1.8T, Misfire P1340 code

The check engine light is on and I'm getting a P1340 code. The car is running great-no performance issues. The light came on after the timing belt was changed. According to my chart, the code is either a misfire or manufacturer's ignition system. I have replaced the cam sensor and spark plugs without any effect. Again, the car starts, runs, and performs well but the code will not allow the car to pass an emission's inspection. Does anyone have an idea of how to correct this?

You can do this by pulling fuse 10 (pre 10.2001) or fuse 37 (post 10.2001) for a couple of minutes before putting the fuses back. This discharges the supply in the ECU and the adaptation values are lost. It will now re-learn from scratch.
