Hi I just bought a 2000 TT 180... I actually bought it back in August but it's been treatin me well so far!

Im sure this has already been a topic of discussion, but i haven't been able to find it... When i start my car and it's cold out, it makes a loud whining sound, if i turn off my car and turn it back on the sound goes away? Anybody have any ideas what this might be?

In my 00 TT 180, when I start the car with the heater on, the fan starts to whine.....it only lasts for about 5 seconds.....
