Hi,
I've purchaseed a used 2001 TT and it is quite fun. My insied mirror is loose and has even fallen off. Is there supposed to be a set screw that holds it in? I don't find one but there is a hole on the windshield side of the mirror as it sits in the bracket that looks like there should be one.

I also had a look but not easy to see what they have done. It looks to me like there is some kind of screw in sleeve that holds the ball from the mirror into the socket of the fixture attached to the glass. Probably best to get the agent to look at this one, unless anyone else has any ideas. Sorry mate.
