Hello, just wonderiing if anyone in the forums has set a nitrous system on there TT?
I'm looking at doing about a 50 shot for spool-up until the boost comes on line. Has or is anyone here running juice?

I have a 00 TT myself and have been speaking to people about adding Nitrous instead of turbo upgrades ie. Boost Controller, Chip. From someone with extensive aftermarket performance part upgrades (Running an Oldsmobile Grand National with aftermarket turbo putting out 650 HP at the wheels) he mentioned that once you start running nitrous you have to start worrying about the lifespan of the parts concerened (Transmission, Valves, cylinders) he said that while nitrous is affordable and can bring you great gains in HP and tourque, your going to end up sinking more money into repairing the things that go wrong once you start running nitrous. This really made sense to me and hopefully you can find some more reasons to NOT go with Nitrous and work with the aftermarket parts that are available with minimal risk. Good Luck.

Hello and thanks for the reply. I've been doing a LOT of reading on all the different forums about Audi's and especaily the TT w/1.8. The general consensus is to shy away from nitrous use. Though I have found a "few" TT owners running small shots most have not posted replies back to my questions. While I'm not ruling out playing with a small shot I think I will as others have suggested stay the course and pursue a larger turbo and other goodies in my quest for power.
