I also have a problem on a 2002 Audi TT Roadster, 2WD,- I've replaced the heater core (that was a pain in the ass) and the thermostat - my heater hoses also also get hot - is there a sensor that opens the heater door?
Are there any dealer mechanics that would care to shed a little light on the subject ( err heat ).

My brother had a 2002 Audi Quattro and the door under the dash wouldn't close and always got cold air instead of hot or inside temp. Pushed door closed and drove a screw down from the windsheild through the dash into the door flapper. all ok couldnt get fresh air but saved ripping the dash apart.......bye for now...more later
