I have posted pictures of the bits required and all the part numbers are there.
The AMI goes in the armrest and replaces the storage bin.
All other audi's get them in the glovebox but this is not the correct postion in the Q7
Have a look at my link again....it's all very obvious really.
Remove the storage bin ( which you can do your self and it just pops out
Install the brackets/mounts in the armrest
run the fibre and power from the center console
Plug in the AMI and then slot in to the armrest bracket.
Easy and job done

Hi there,
I'm investigating the feasibility of retrofitting AMI in the armrest location in my Q7. The link to your post on navplus no longer works - I've tried searching but can't find it after their site restructuring.
Did you install the AMI yourself and if so how complicated was it please?
Any advice appreciated - it would be nice to hear something other than the "it's not possible" that I've been getting from the dealers
