This is how i used it to clean my oil system: When i was doing my oil change and was there already, i got a bunch of mainstream oil and the good oil i wanted to use in my car. I did the oil change with the crappy oil, but did not remove the oil filter. I added the seafoam to oil and drove it normally for two days. Then i changed the oil again with crappy oil only, and put more seafoam in with the new oil. Ran for two days, and then put in the good oil with filter. When i took out the oil with seafoam a lot of crap was in there that the seafoam freed up.

For gas tank seafoaming, just add the seafoam with your gas.

When you seafoam, use a third of a can for whatever you are seafoaming. IE: A thrid in the tank, a third in the oil, a third in the vacuum hose.
