Come off it. I know many of the little tricks of the trade and that is a common one. Fact is they charged me when they should not have and could have also supplied new tyres or at least a contribution. And as for stating that the wear is down to the car's weight, well you and I and now the world know better.
So why the excuses? There is no excusing my dealer and there is no disguising the fact that many, if not most Q7 cars wear their tyres out unacceptably quickly compared to any similar competitor.
