I have seen this on a couple of Q7s and one A5 and is quite difficult sometimes to track down as it doesn't always log a fault, eventualy I managed to reproduce the problem and it turned out to be one or more of the touch sensitive door handles, if the test plan for the sensor is carried out and left for some time to test you can spot the offending sensor, if this sensor thinks it is being asked to open then the lock buttons and remote are disabled. One car actually had 2 faulty sensors but only came to light when the first one was changed, (which was kinda annoying for me as well as the customer) The main thing from this is that the problem you have MUST be reproduced under test to pin it down and it can be resolved.
