Well who ever told you about that was talking out of there arse.
The K03 turbo are not the most powerful that’s for sure but with a remap and a well looked after car you will see around 220bhp but then you can always add a bigger turbo if you like as well with 330bhp being the max target on stock internals.
No the 3.0 is a great engine but you are limited to tuning option and the only real option is the PES G3 Supercharger kit which will see around 310bhp as a full bolt on kit.
I would say if your not looking to tune the car then the 3.0 is the way to go but if you like playing with engines then the 1.8T is the better option and if you can afford it go Quattro your love it.
