I have never heard of the 'cold package' and I have a 2008 brochure at home.
It is true, however, that you do not get front heated seats as standard in an S Line, but they are standard on the lesser SE model. I think it is a £275 factory fit option. I do recommend you pay the extra for the heated seats, as on setting 9 you can fry an egg on them!
