Check Engine Light - EVAP Issue
Hey people!
I've posted a couple times before and everyone has been helpful. I've been trouble free for a while, but recently, I've been served with a check engine light. Around the same time, I've noticed that every time I fill up, I can smell gas fumes inside my car. Oh sorry, I have a 2001 A4 2.8L Quattro.
I plugged in my ross-tech scan tool and got this:
VAG-COM Version: Release 704.1
Address 01: Engine
Control Module Part Number: 3B0 907 551 BQ
Component and/or Version: 2.8L V6/5V G 0001
Software Coding: 07201
Work Shop Code: WSC 63351
1 Fault Found:
16825 - EVAP Emission Control Sys: Incorrect Flow
P0441 - 35-00 - -
Makes sense, the EVAP is letting gas fumes into my car. I've done the output test for the purge valve. It clicks, probably every second. Is it supposed to open, then click close, then open again like a cycle or is it supposed to stay open until the ECM decides to close it?
Also, what else am I supposed to be checking?
Thanks!
