Default Test drove an 06 2.0T - General turbo question

Test drove a nice 06 2.0T yesterday. 17,000 miles on it for 24k. Still looks new. Anyways I've never had a turbo car before. Now this may be old school and technology is probably better now but do you have to let turbo engines cool off before you turn them off to keep the oil flowing in the turbo to prolong the life? I seem to remember years back you'd need turbo timers, etc. to keep the oil flowing so the turbo could cool off after the car is off or let your car idle for a few minutes before turning it off. I assume it's a thing of the past but just wondering if I buy this car.
Thanks.
