Default O2 Sensor Problem

Well, I bought the Ross Tech Code reader and this is what it came up with:

17524- Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating; B1S1: Open Circuit
P1116 - 004 - No Signal/Communication - MIL On
Readiness: 0110 1001

This same O2 Sensor was replaced about a year ago by the mechanic because of the same error. He used an OEM replacement sensor.

Anyone have any advice on what my problem may be? Assuming the sensor isn't bad which I know is a possibility, is there a connection somewhere that's prone to failure or a spot where a wire may have chafed through the insulation and is grounding out?

On an unrelated and less important note I also pulled up the following error for the Driver's seat:

01330 - Central Control Module for Central Convenience (J393)
79-00 - Please check Faut Codes

I'd appreciate any light you all can shed on that topic too.

Thanks,

Jon
