Hi all,
I would appreciate some advice on the following: I bought a 2005 Audi A4 2.0TDi 140 BHP last week. The car has 17" Audi alloys fitted. The seller, as part of the final selling price of €27K, gave a genuine set of 18" genuine Audi alloys. She said she "preferred the 17" so took off the 18". The reality is that 2 of the alloys have a dent in them, no doubt as the result of an impact with an Irish pothole in the road!

.
My question is this: which is better for this Audi, 17" or 18" wheels? Would there be any noticeable difference? If posters in this forum think so, I will have no hesitation in fixing them up and putting them on.
Finally would the 1" diameter difference have much of an impact on the kilometer reading on the dash i.e. the car has clocked 80K kilometers, the majority with 17" wheels. What if there had always been 18"?
Any comments/advice much appreciated
Mike
