This is the exact same problem as I am having with mine, I have A4 2.0 FSI on an 03 plate.

I have had it into garages on the diagnosis machine a few times but have booked it into Audi dealers this week to get is diagnosed hopefully get the exact problems.

Does your engine management light come on or the EPC light from time to time?

I have been told it could be down to the throttle body which will be about £350 for the part, also been told that might fix if throttle is cleaned, but this didn't work with mine.

Let you know what Audi say on Wednesday.
