I have a problem, my car stalls when idle, the revs flutter a little bit then it just conks out, this is with the air con switched off.

With the air con switched on however, the car runs smooth as silk.

This morning the temperature outside was so cold that the air con would not turn on, the journey to work was terrible, everytime i applied the clutch it would stall, one time i was going round a roundabout and it stalled, i lost power steering and almost took someone out.

If anyone wnows why this is happening please let me know, im taking it to a garage on saturday but i would like to know b4hand incase they try to fleece me! (which has happend b4)
