I ordered my new A6 with this option factory fitted but when it arrived the option had not been fitted.
I was to have the mirror fitted by the dealer to rectify the problem but they found that there was quite a lot of re wiring to do in the headlining.
I settled for a refund in the end.
Sounds like its not something you can fit easily.
