Just had mine done. Its the ZF transmission they use. Its in all euro cars except the merc. Find a good transmision place that does euro gearboxes and get the overhaul done. Saves a lot not using the audi dealer who would send it to this place in any case. It will be amuch better unit. Cost $7000 in NZ to do so be glad you have USD's to pay for it
Audi should have fixed this via a recall and done the transmission lag at the same time.
