Its booked in for this and other issues for 12th Nov. I just wanted to see if others have had similar issues. Typically the satnav seems to have sorted itself out now and is working normally again. The other issues I'm having are:
Noise/vibration/harshness - I'm very dissapointed with the general harshness of the engine, especially whilst accelerating through around 2300 revs - very noisy and whole car seems to vibrate, especially noticable in 5th or 6th and going up hill when it takes longer to go through this rev band.
Parking brake not releasing automatically. Its now happened about 10 times so more than once a week - makes you look like you don't know how to drive when you try to pull away and the handbrake won't release!
Whining noise - particularly noticable on smooth roads at around 50-60mph, sounds like a failing wheel bearing as it really "sings" and resonates through the whole body. It doesn't manifest itself on rough roads though. I am wondering if this could be the tyres - I have had similar noises from certain tread patterns on previous cars. I've never had Conti's before but I've heard it said they can be noisy.
Oil consumption - this is the first car I've owned in the last ten years that has needed oil between services. The 1l they give you with the car for topping up was all used up by 3,500 miles and its getting low on the dipstick again (5,500 miles)
