Guys please note you can find most information you wish to know already posted in the forum ...
To find it use the search(search forum) button at top of any page your on and enter brief words to describe what you want to know .. I found you those 2 threads for you to read by just entering the words "oil and consumption"

Thank you for looking, but I have already done a search here have not been able to find information about high oil consumption specific to my 1997 12valve 2.8 engine, the reason for my post. I have searched 3 Audi forum search archives but with no luck.
