some one please help me I just got a Audi TT 225 a month ago and all I had befor was ricer's. lol I love my TT
The Wuusshhh sound comes from a Blow off valve but the TT has a recirclatory system and therefore needs a Diverter Valve which does not give you a whuush sound.
There are ways around it but it is expensive and most of the time it makes your car run like crap. There is a new spliter valve out by Forge you can try. It gives you the best of both worlds. Diverter Valve function with a blow off valve vent.

A Revo tune will do the most as far as performance goes. Save your money on the intake. An open air filter will increase noise but do to heat soak will do litte for performance. Check this site out for lots of performance goodies. The MOFO and the Boostmachine are worth it. The intakes look nice but I would just keep the stock airbox with a K&N filter insert.

Good Luck with your TT. I recommend a boost gauge as one of your first mods. You will need to keep an eye on the boost especially if you are getting tuned/chipped.
