My 2004 A8 4.0 TD does not seem to have 'illumination' on the wiper and indicator stalks (ie behind the steering wheel). I am referring to the red symbols that I would expect to be illuminated on these controls.

This seems to be at odds with the rest of the controls in the car which are all well illuminated.

Is this normal? Or is there a bulb (or LED) that has failed?

Can anyone help, or offer any repair advice?
