Hi...

recently purchased a 1.9tdi (110) 2000 X....a couple of days ago whilst accelerating to about 80/85 mph in fifth gear the car suddenly lost power and after dropping down a few gears it still struggled to accelerate, after stopping, turning ignition off and waiting a few minutes the car seemed to be better, but not performing as it should....also when accelerating there is quite a loud whistle/sound of air intake, 'type thingy kinda sound' (not very technical i know, but hey!!)

any ideas, advice etc.... would be greatly appreciated
