Third year warranty
My 2.0 TDI Avant 140 will be 2 years old in January, so I asked the Audi dealer how much it would cost to take out a third year of warranty for the car.
I was absolutely staggered to be told nearly £700. When she saw the look on my face the service representative said "of course you must realise that you have bought a premium car so you will attract premium prices for replacement parts".
As the owner of a Bentley, I am well inured to this, but also appreciate the fact that the bits on the Bentley last for a long time, as my car is 54 years old and has done more miles than the space shuttle. I was also too staggered to respond that as the Audi has only done 20,000 miles and is treated very carefully, I thought that they were on to a good bet.
What do you all think about 700 quid for a year's warranty, or should I put the money and the Audi towards a new VW Tiguan?
with best regards to the unwarranted out there
