Turbo Blown ?
Hi All, I've just joined the forum and hope for a swift solution to my problem, so all get reading and inwardly digest, followed by some furious typing!
I have a A4 Avant 1999 2.5TDI SE, Silky smooth and powerful,the nicest car I've owned. I'm becoming increasingly embarrassed to drive it as its starting to smoke like smokey joes Taxi on tick over. I have plenty of power still and can drive any distance, but when I pull up at some lights, give it a couple of minutes and I get a 007 smoke screen kind of effect. Smells oily smoke, but does not do it at every set of lights. I'm guessing the Turbo Oil Seals are starting to give out. The car has done 115,000. Can anyone confirm my suspitions please. All answers greatfully received,as I want to be sure i'm spending my money in the right place. Thanks Chaddy
