DIY timing belt change
I have an 03 Allroad six speed what a sweet car. I am living on borrowed time at 80K and haven't changed the timing belt. Got quoted 2 - 2500K to do the work. Ouch. Has anyone done it themselves? I've been looking on the forum and haven't read anything.
I have the repair manual and the engine is complicated but I've built VW's and worked on Detroit diesel's which are pretty complicated.
I found a site Blauparts where you order the parts and can rent the tools to do it.
Anyone have any wisdom?
