I just bought a 2005 2.7T ($25K) - which felt like a screaming deal at the time... still think I turned a good deal. BUT it has 46K miles. Here's my question: I live 5 miles down a bumpy dirt road with hills and would LOVE some advice on tires. Should I go OEM? This particular dirt road eats tires for breakfast and it sounds like the allroad eats them for lunch. I've read up on Pirelli options, not happy with the search results from TireRack (Goodyear ??). Currently running on Sumimoto HTR. What will give me performance, wear well and not demand dinner too? Any help/suggestions/what-not-do much appreciated!
